There are basically two types of processing objects, one is the processing of castings, and another one is the processing of profiles. Which is more challenging for the processing technicians? Let’s study further:
The processing of Castings generally involves more complex shapes and higher precision requirements, thus placing greater demands on the skills of the processing technicians. The difficulties of casting processing is as following:
Complex Shapes: Casting process can produce spare parts with complex structure, which requires the processing technicians to have spatial imagination and operational skills.
High Precision Requirement: Casting process usually requires higher precision and surface quality, sometimes, it needs secondary processing to improve the precision and surface quality.
Material Characteristics: The casting material may affect the processing outcome, the processing technicians need to understand the processing characteristics of different materials, and select suitable processing methods and parameters.
Opposite, profile processing is relatively simple, which mainly involves the basic operations such as cutting, bending, welding of straight-shape materials. Although It needs certain technical requirements, but overall difficulty is lower than casting processing.
