RFQ checklist

Information that helps avoid quotation assumptions

For tight tolerance CNC machining, a small amount of extra information can prevent wrong process assumptions and shorten engineering communication.
Drawing Package

2D drawing with tolerances and a STEP file for geometry review.

Material and Blank

Material grade, heat treatment condition and whether the blank is bar, casting, forging or pipe.

Critical Features

Mark sealing diameters, bearing seats, coaxiality, flatness, roundness or thread requirements.

Quantity

Prototype, pilot run, annual demand and repeat order expectations affect fixture planning.

Surface Treatment

Plating, electroless nickel, zinc black, heat treatment or passivation should be noted early.

Inspection Needs

Confirm CMM report, material report, 100% checking or packaging requirements.
